Financial Dashboard

Monitor rental income, track payment activity, and view financial insights across your portfolio

Overview

The Financial Dashboard gives landlords a centralized view of rental income, payment activity, and financial metrics across their entire portfolio. Access it from Dashboard > Financial in the sidebar.

Financial Overview

The top section displays four key metrics for your portfolio:

MetricWhat it shows
This Month's RevenueTotal completed payments for the current month, with month-over-month percentage change
Year-to-Date RevenueCumulative revenue for the current calendar year
Monthly TransactionsNumber of payments processed this month
Average PaymentAverage payment amount over the last 30 days

Each metric includes a comparison to the previous period so you can spot trends at a glance.

Financial Metrics

Below the overview, three cards provide deeper insight:

  • Payment Activity — Number of payments processed this month vs. last month, with a progress bar showing relative volume
  • Monthly Growth — Month-over-month revenue change as a percentage, with a visual indicator
  • Payment Volume — Current month payment count with comparison to last month's activity

Payment Activity

The bottom section of the dashboard shows detailed payment data in two tabs:

  • Recent Payments — Your most recent payments with tenant, unit, amount, status, method, category, and date
  • Year Payments — All payments for the current calendar year

Click any payment row to navigate to its detail page.

Revenue Trends
Growth

The Revenue Trends chart shows a 12-month rolling view of your rental income as an area chart. Above the chart, three summary statistics are displayed:

  • Total Revenue — Sum of all revenue in the 12-month window
  • Average Monthly Revenue — Mean monthly revenue across the period
  • Growth Rate — Month-over-month growth percentage

Months with no payments are included as zero so the chart always shows a complete 12-month picture.

Custom Date Range Filtering
Growth

Use the Filter button in the toolbar to set a custom date range for your financial data:

  1. Click the Filter button in the top-right corner of the dashboard
  2. Set a Start Date and/or End Date
  3. Click Apply to update all dashboard metrics

The selected date range is saved in the URL, so you can bookmark specific views or share them with team members. To clear filters, open the filter popover and click Clear.

The Revenue Trends chart always shows the most recent 12 months regardless of your date range selection.

Monthly Financial Report Emails
Growth

TenantSee can send automated monthly financial summary emails to your entire team on the 1st of each month. The email includes the previous month's total revenue, payments collected, overdue payments, and occupancy rate.

To enable or disable monthly reports:

  1. Go to Settings > Company > Notifications
  2. Toggle Monthly Financial Report on or off

When enabled, every team member in your company receives the report. The email is sent in each user's preferred language.
